I believe it would be of interest to the page to let people know that Jack Vance's original manuscripts for several of his books are kept at Boston University's main library in the manuscripts department. I have consulted them and i can tell you that it is quite an experience to have the original with the modifications in your hands. Actually, what impressed me too was the number of rejection slips, most of them printed, that Jack Vance got before he was published. Without his persistance all this wonderful worlds and works of imagination might never have reached us.
